Lead Graphic Designer for Social Media and Print & Digital Ads
Project Overview
Marian University, based in Indianapolis, partnered with our team to elevate their presence across social and digital channels. As Lead Designer, I created and managed content for social media, as well as designed campaign materials for both print and digital ads. A key focus was promoting their new Master of Science in Reading Science program, a graduate degree aimed at helping educators lead in literacy instruction. The challenge: build a consistent, compelling brand presence that worked across platforms and across affiliated institutions like Saint Joseph University.
The Challenge
Despite having strong academic offerings, Marian University struggled with fragmented messaging and inconsistent visuals. Their goal was to build a unified voice across platforms while promoting distinct programs, especially new and niche ones like the Master of Science in Reading Science. They also needed to support affiliated entities like Saint Joseph University with targeted, branded assets. The challenge was twofold: create clarity across channels, and make each piece of content feel relevant, fresh, and aligned with their values.
The Solution
To meet Marian University’s objectives, we designed a multi-tiered marketing strategy that addressed both their social media and advertising needs. The solutions included the following:
Daily Social Media Management: We developed a content calendar that ensured a consistent stream of engaging posts on social media platforms. The posts highlighted university events, student achievements, and other important updates, creating an ongoing connection between Marian University and its online audience.
Promotion of Affiliated Entities: We also developed targeted content to promote programs at smaller colleges, especially Saint Joseph University, showcasing unique opportunities to attract prospective students and strengthen its role within Marian’s academic community.
Targeted Print and Digital Ads: Our team was tasked with designing print and digital advertisements, with a particular focus on Marian University’s new Master of Science in Reading Science program. These ads were strategically designed to emphasize the program’s ability to enhance educators’ expertise in literacy instruction. We highlighted how the program presented a unique opportunity for educators to specialize in the science of reading, capturing the attention of teachers and education professionals.
